The Role

We are seeking a Plant Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member, you will be responsible for ensuring on-site operations run to maximum efficiency, delivering required outputs, and working with the management team to establish process and performance using KPIs and lead continuous improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure on-site operations run to maximum efficiency to deliver required outputs.
  • Work with the management team to establish process and performance using KPIs and lead continuous improvements.
  • Manage and maintain site resources, including personnel, the plant, and equipment.
  • Ensure plant operations maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and licenses.
  • Ensure management systems maintain compliance with standards ISO 9001, PAS 110, and ADQP.
  • Ensure the highest possible standards of Health and Safety are maintained.
  • Carry out regular and routine monitoring of all site systems.
  • Ensure staff are engaged, motivated, developed, and led with a high focus on training.
  • Work closely with sales and commercial teams to ensure delivery of client requirements.
  • Liaise with and manage site Engineering team for engineering requirements.

Requirements

  • Educated to Degree level in a Waste Management, Science, or Engineering based discipline.
  • Qualified in IOSH Managing Safely and willing to work towards NEBOSH General Certificate.
  • Experience in an operational management position within a continuous process manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent people management skills with the ability to converse at all levels with various stakeholders.
  • Exceptional decision-making skills and ability to work well under pressure.
  • Good written and verbal communication and IT skills.
