**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Heavy Plant Operator to join our team at Beauparc Limited. As a Heavy Plant Operator, you will be responsible for operating heavy machinery and equipment to aid in the safe and compliant movement of waste materials through our operational process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy plant, machinery, and mobile plant on site to ensure the safe and compliant movement of waste materials.
- Perform daily housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Ensure 100% compliance with all health and safety procedures, including the wearing of personal protective equipment.
- Report all near misses and incidents immediately to the Shift Supervisor.
- Ensure all designated walkways and operational areas are kept free from obstacles and debris.
- Comply with all environmental regulations and legislation applicable to the operation.
- Support the Onsite Team during periods of preventative maintenance.
- Perform safety checks on all equipment and machinery before use.
- Unload and load vehicles that require the use of mobile plant/FLT.
- Carry out activities around the site that require the use of mobile plant/FLT.
- Support the Team with the segregation and sorting of materials to maximize recovery value.
Requirements:
- Good standard of general education.
- Wheeled loading shovel license.
- Experience of working in the waste industry (desirable).
- Ability to communicate clearly and precisely with a good command of the English language.
- Good observation and listening skills.
