Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

As a Maintenance Technician with Cooper Lomaz Recruitment, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of production equipment in a food or drink manufacturing environment. Your duties will include:

  • Performing corrective and preventive mechanical maintenance to minimize equipment downtime
  • Repairing production and processing equipment, as well as utility-related equipment
  • Supporting the installation of new equipment and ensuring all repairs are properly documented
  • Maintaining a clean, orderly, and neat work area, and completing all paperwork accurately
  • Participating in the company's continuous improvement program, BOPEX
  • Complying with all procedures, regulations, and policies applicable to the role
  • Reporting and stopping unsafe operations, and using mandatory personal protective equipment as defined
  • Offering flexibility in working hours to meet business needs

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Awareness of HACCP, food hygiene, and safety requirements
  • Fluent English language skills
  • Computer skills and experience working in repair and maintenance of machinery
  • At least 5 years of experience in a food or drink manufacturing environment
  • A Level 3 NVQ in engineering and 18th Edition certification, although not essential
  • Excellent trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills, as well as experience working in a team
