About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Learning Support Practitioner to join our team as Bank Staff. As a Learning Support Practitioner, you will provide 1:1, shared in-class, and group support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) within our mainstream college.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work under the supervision and guidance of the tutor to support students with mild/moderate and complex learning difficulties and disabilities.
  • Provide one-to-one support and group support, both direct and indirect, for students with learning difficulties and disabilities following foundation courses.
  • Collaborate with Student Support Advisors and Youth Workers to provide support for students with SEMH needs and encourage them to attend the college.
  • Utilize learning support systems to ensure bespoke support is provided for individual supported learners.
Requirements
  • A level 2 or above qualification or equivalent in a relevant subject area.
  • Experience of providing effective coaching for students on an individual basis or in a group setting to support success and progression.
  • Demonstrate an ability to support, monitor, and track learner progress, including attendance, behavior, and completion of vocational activity.
  • Proficient IT skills.
  • Level 2 English & Maths or equivalent is desirable.
