About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Decanter Balancer/Fitter to join our team at Alfa Laval UK&I in Camberley. As a member of our Service Centre, you will be responsible for the disassembly and re-assembly of rotating mechanical equipment, including the balancing of critical components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Stripping and inspecting decanters
  • Cleaning equipment using jet washing and chemical cleaning
  • Dismantling and reassembling gearboxes
  • Rebuilding equipment according to guidelines
  • Using technical drawings to assist in disassembly and re-assembly
  • Operating overhead cranes and lifting equipment
  • Understanding and adhering to Health and Safety protocols
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have an appropriate apprenticeship or qualification in engineering, experience working with hand, pneumatic, and hydraulic tools, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and manuals. You will also have good IT skills and be able to work well individually and as part of a team.
