Therapy Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Therapy Assistant to join our integrated therapy team at South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Therapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing rehabilitation support to patients on Zetland Ward in Redcar Primary Care Hospital.
Key Responsibilities- Work as part of the therapy team to provide rehabilitation support to patients with a range of medical, social, and functional problems.
- Assist Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, and nurses in providing rehabilitation services to increase patient independence and support safe discharge.
- Develop and maintain good relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure effective communication and care.
- Participate in service developments and clinical governance to improve patient outcomes and service delivery.
- Contribute to the development of individualized care plans and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure comprehensive care.
- 3 A-levels or equivalent level 3 qualification(s) and Functional Skills (level 2) or a level 3 apprenticeship, such as the Senior Healthcare Support Worker apprenticeship.
- Experience of working in health or social care, preferably in a rehabilitation setting.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic IT skills to use electronic patient records and other Trust systems.
