About the Role

Pulse Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cellular Pathologist to join our dynamic team in the Histopathology Department.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care in a supportive and innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnostic Expertise: Provide expert histopathological diagnostic services, utilizing state-of-the-art facilities and equipment.
  • Team Collaboration: Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, working closely with colleagues to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Training and Development: Engage in teaching and training of junior medical staff, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and expertise.
  • Quality Assurance: Contribute to clinical audit and research activities, ensuring compliance with clinical governance standards.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: MBBS or equivalent, Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists or equivalent, and Full registration (and a licence to practise) with the General Medical Council (GMC).
  • Certification: Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) within 6 months of appointment.

Pulse Healthcare is a modern district general hospital, providing a range of diagnostic and surgical services, including a 24-hour emergency department and a consultant-led maternity unit.

The Histopathology Department is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, providing comprehensive diagnostic services and a collaborative environment.

Working Arrangements
  • Clinical Duties: 8 sessions per week, including reporting, MDT meetings, and clinical consultations.
  • Teaching and Training: 1 session per week dedicated to the education of junior staff and trainees.
  • Research and Audit: 1 session per week for clinical audit, research, and personal development.
