We are a leading construction company that has recently secured a number of key long-term clients.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Project Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating comprehensive and precise cost estimates for construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Estimating and Tendering

Send out tender packages and thoroughly adjudicate and normalize subcontractor returns to ensure accurate estimates.

Collaboration and Communication

Work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to understand project requirements and ensure accurate estimations.

Estimating Software and Data Analysis

Utilize estimating software to generate comprehensive and precise cost estimates, taking into account labour, materials, equipment, and other project-related expenses.

Project Scheduling and Timeline Development

Assist with project scheduling and timeline development in collaboration with the project management team.

Pricing and Cost Management

Price the work accurately by evaluating the cost of labour, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and other project-related expenses.

Relationship Management

Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure competitive pricing and availability of resources.

Project Experience

Experience pricing projects from £500k - £6m in value.

Scope Analysis and Contract Knowledge

Fully competent with package analysis following initial tender enquiries to ensure no scope gap.

Contract and IT Knowledge

Proficient knowledge and understanding of standard forms of contract including JCT.

IT Skills

Proficient use of IT including Microsoft Office and estimating packages/tools.

Workload Management

Ability to manage a high volume of workload and have a flexible approach.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £75,000.00 per year

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Barnet
