Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer Role

Orion Careers is partnering with a fast-paced manufacturing company in the UK to recruit a self-sufficient, confident, and diligent Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer.

The ideal candidate will be mechanically biased, as 80% of the issues on site are of a mechanical nature. We are looking for someone driven and ambitious to help drive the company towards manufacturing excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reactive maintenance of medium & heavy plant machinery, including conveyors, mills, compactors, pelletizers, hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, sensors, and relays.
  • Mechanical maintenance (80%) and electrical maintenance (20%).
  • Performing Predictive Maintenance (PPMs) and line improvement tasks.
  • Fault finding using PLCs and reading electrical schematics.
  • Providing solutions to reduce downtime and implementing root cause analysis to identify areas for improvement.
  • Driving a PPM culture and assisting in setting machines in conjunction with the operations team.
  • Providing a first-class engineering service.
