Job Overview

Austin Fraser is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Mentor to support Primary and Special Educational Needs (SEN) schools across Shropshire. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with students, teachers, and support staff to promote positive educational outcomes. Your role will focus on building strong, trusting relationships with pupils to support their academic, social, and emotional development.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide one-on-one or small group support to pupils who need additional guidance with their learning or behaviour.
  2. Help children develop strategies to overcome barriers to learning, such as low confidence, anxiety, or social challenges.
  3. Collaborate with teachers and school staff to create and implement tailored intervention plans.
  4. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, supporting children with diverse needs, including SEN.
  5. Build trusting relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and mentor.
  6. Promote emotional resilience and well-being, providing a listening ear and practical support where needed.
  7. Support school policies on behaviour, attendance, and safeguarding.
Salary & Benefits:
$12.61 per hour, plus ongoing support and training to enhance your professional development.
