Job Opportunity: Lecturer in Maritime Management

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Lecturer to join our team at Solent University Services Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and developing short courses in maritime management, safety, and security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach and assess students on short courses in maritime management, safety, and security
  • Develop and deliver course materials, including lectures, workshops, and assessments
  • Provide guidance and support to students, including academic and pastoral support
  • Contribute to the development of new courses and programs in maritime management

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in a relevant field, such as maritime management, business, or education
  • Professional seafaring background with relevant STCW certificate
  • Teaching qualification and experience in a higher education setting
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
