A leading automotive manufacturer is looking for a skilled Telematics Project Engineer to join their R&D team in Bedfordshire. This contract position offers the chance to work on cutting-edge projects and collaborate with innovative teams.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing on-board Telematics systems, working closely with connected car design and test teams. Key tasks include:

  • Generating and releasing TCU configuration data
  • Managing suppliers to meet quality, cost, and delivery targets
  • Coordinating in-house and supplier TCU validation
  • Leading project teams for on-board and off-board connected car and infotainment initiatives
  • Collaborating with Telematics Service Providers to ensure aligned development schedules
Key Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Strong understanding of mobile network infrastructure and data transfer

Familiarity with 5G technologies, non-European mobile networks, MQTT, End-to-End System architecture, and European Ecall regulations is beneficial.

The estimated salary for this position is £75,000 - £95,000 per annum, based on experience.
