We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical and Counselling Psychologist to join our team at Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality psychological assessments and interventions to individuals experiencing mental health crises.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in clinical psychology, with experience in working with adults of working age with a wide range of presentations of varying severity. You will be able to demonstrate further specialist clinical experience and training, through a minimum of 50 hours clinical supervision of working as a specialist clinical psychologist.
Key Responsibilities- Provide specialist psychological assessments and interventions to individuals experiencing mental health crises.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate risk.
- Provide training and supervision to junior staff members.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
- Good honours degree in psychology. Eligibility for graduate membership of the British Psychological Society (BPS).
- Post-graduate doctorate in clinical psychology (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996) as accredited by the BPS, or fully completed training as a Counselling Psychologist.
- Full registration with Health Professions Council.
- Related academic qualifications to masters or doctorate level.
- Post-doctoral training in one or more additional specialised areas of psychological practice.
