Based in Newcastle, this Towbar Fitting role offers a salary of approximately £30,000 per annum.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Towbar Fitter to join our busy workshop in Newcastle. As a Towbar Fitter, you will be responsible for fitting towbars to customer vehicles and servicing/repairing trailers.

  • Fitting towbars (including vehicle electrics) and carrying out trailer services/repairs.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of suppliers' towbar fitting instructions via the branch network and internet/intranet.
  • Servicing and repairing the company's fleet of hire trailers to an agreed schedule.
  • Maintaining and updating full records of each trailer in the company hire fleet for servicing purposes.
  • Adhering to company Health & Safety Policy.
  • Providing technical advice as required and answering telephone/customer service inquiries.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a vehicle workshop, repairing cars, vans, motorbikes, lorries, or coaches. Experience with towbars and trailers is advantageous but training will be provided. A full current driving licence is essential, with a towing license being advantageous.
