We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated clinical nurse specialist to join our team at Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, contributing to the delivery of high-quality patient care in an acute care setting.

The successful candidate will be responsible for participating in the rapid clinical assessment of medical patients, helping to plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate care to minimize waits, delays, and preventable admissions. They will also be involved in the development of action plans to address deficiencies in clinical care.

The Medical Day Unit (MDU) is a nurse-led unit that provides medical infusions, investigations, and procedures to elective patients from various medical specialties. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, assessment abilities, and experience in acute medicine.

Responsibilities
  • To maintain accurate, legible, and contemporaneous records of patient care.
  • To ensure high standards of patient care through effective collaboration with colleagues.
  • To evaluate clinical care and act upon outcomes to improve practice.
  • To contribute to the evaluation of clinical care and the development of action plans to address deficiencies.
  • To maintain a portfolio of evidence showcasing clinical skills, competency-based assessments, and theoretical knowledge.
  • To liaise with various staff members to ensure high-quality patient care.
