About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialty Doctor in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) to join our Community CAMHS team in Barking and Dagenham. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality care to children and young people with mental health needs, working closely with families, schools, and other external agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide senior medical support to the team, including direct input on clinical cases and guidance and supervision to junior colleagues.
- Work directly with children and young people, their families, and liaise with other external CAMHS mental health providers and acute hospitals.
- Develop and maintain links with local acute trusts, A&E departments, and inpatient wards.
- Supervise junior colleagues and collaborate with other health and social professionals and agencies.
Requirements:
- Mastery in the management of a broad range of mental disorders in children, including neurodevelopmental disorders.
- At least 4 years of full-time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a part-time basis) in a relevant specialty or as a fixed-term specialty trainee.
