CAMHS Specialist Grade Doctor: A Rewarding Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Specialist Grade Psychiatrist to join our CAMHS team in Sutton, a vibrant and diverse community in South West London. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with senior clinicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality medical and psychological treatment for individuals and families with severe mental health needs.

This is a full-time, 10PA substantive post, with opportunities for part-time working. The postholder will have the chance to lead on service development, take on a special interest, and contribute to teaching and training. Our team is committed to continual learning and development, and you will be offered excellent CPD opportunities.

The Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) Directorate of Southwest London and St George's Mental Health NHS Trust is a well-established provider of mental health services to the boroughs of Richmond, Sutton, Kingston, Merton, and Wandsworth. Our local CAMHS team is highly specialist, comprising family therapy, psychology, risk management nurses, and DBT specialists. We have access to trust-wide services, including the DBT group program, eating disorder service, emergency services, and a Learning Disability Service.

The Trust is committed to the development of career pathways for Specialty Doctors, and applicants can be supported through the CESR process if they wish. The post-holder will be responsible to the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services Clinical Director of SW London St George's Mental Health Trust.

To be eligible for this Specialist Grade role, you must have a minimum of 12 years' clinical experience, with 6 years in Psychiatry. We are looking for a dynamic and established Specialist Psychiatrist, fully registered with the GMC, with a licence to practice and S12 approval under the Mental Health Act. If you are a Specialty Doctor within six to nine months of being eligible for this grade, we would be delighted to hear from you.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy, mature service and contribute to the development of our CAMHS team in Sutton. If you are passionate about providing high-quality mental health care and committed to the well-being of our patients, we encourage you to apply.
