About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Intermediate Engineer to join our team at Chronos Energy in Central London. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to develop their career and work on exciting projects related to low/zero carbon district heating.

The successful candidate will have experience within the heat network industry and be working towards Chartered Engineer status. We offer a competitive salary of £65,000 - £85,000 per annum, depending on experience, and a hybrid working arrangement that balances office and remote work.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement innovative engineering solutions for low/zero carbon district heating and decarbonising existing systems
  2. Collaborate with colleagues to design and review district energy systems at all stages of their lifecycle
  3. Analyse data and modelling technical and commercial aspects of district energy plant operations
  4. Build strong relationships with clients and contractors
  5. Conduct site inspections, snagging and witness of commissioning for assets being built ahead of adoption or handover from contractors
  6. Work closely with the project team to ensure designs meet requirements and assist with project budgets and estimates
  7. Develop site-specific energy strategies and coordinated design of energy centres, heat networks and cooling projects

  • Relevant experience within the heat network industry
  • Commitment to achieving Chartered Engineer status
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
  • Good understanding of commercial principles and project management procedures
