Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - Leicester

At ZipRecruiter, we're working with an innovative engineering consultancy that prioritizes client satisfaction and work-life balance. We're seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead our mechanical design team in Leicester City Centre.

This exciting role involves managing multiple projects, promoting collaboration within the team, and participating in the design verification process. As a project lead, you'll be responsible for full detailed mechanical design and checking junior/intermediate engineers' designs.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and grow the mechanical design team, fostering a culture of consultation and collaboration.
  2. Develop and implement detailed mechanical designs for various projects, including healthcare, education, residential, high-rise, commercial, and heritage buildings.
  3. Participate in the design verification process and review junior/intermediate engineers' designs.

Requirements:

  1. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  2. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Hevacomp, and Revit (ideally).
  3. Minimum 6 years of experience in mechanical design.
