Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in mechanical building services design, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects.
  • Knowledge of a wide range of market sectors, including commercial, residential, and industrial.
  • Previous experience managing projects and small teams, with a strong focus on leadership and collaboration.
  • Ability to provide technically sound design solutions, with a deep understanding of building services systems and technologies.
  • Experience in seeing conceptual designs through to completion and dealing directly with clients, ensuring satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Work experience within a similar consultancy or other relevant business, with a strong understanding of industry trends and best practices.
  • Relevant experience in mechanical engineering design, including specification writing, calculations, and developing designs from first principles.
  • Proficiency with software such as IES, Hevacomp, AutoCAD, MS Office; knowledge of Revit is advantageous but not essential.
  • Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English, with the ability to inspire, influence, and negotiate.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Building Services or Mechanical Engineering, with a strong academic record.
  • Preferably Chartered or working towards Chartership status, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Membership of CIBSE or a relevant and equivalent professional body, demonstrating a strong commitment to industry standards and best practices.
