To further this commitment, we seek a passionate and dedicated Careers Education Lead who shares our belief in the significance of careers advice and guidance.
Role Overview
The Careers Education Lead at Exeter College will be a dynamic advocate for career guidance, responsible for designing and implementing an annual program of events and activities tailored to meet the diverse needs of our students. You will lead and support a team of careers advisors and foster collaboration with staff, students, and external stakeholders. Your creative approach will be instrumental in developing a range of engaging careers education events and activities, providing our learners with a meaningful and impactful careers education and advice program. Additionally, you will oversee the college's support for students applying to Higher Education through the UCAS process.
Key Responsibilities
- Champion and lead careers advice and guidance at Exeter College.
- Develop and execute an inclusive annual careers program.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality assurance processes.
- Utilize the Gatsby Benchmarks and other relevant data to shape the college's careers program.
- Lead and coordinate a team of careers advisors.
- Collaborate with internal colleagues and external stakeholders, including employers and industry partners.
- Oversee the college's support for learners' applications to Higher Education through the UCAS process.
Experience and Skills Required
- Proven experience in supporting careers advice and guidance.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication, collaborative, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage and create digital content.
- Creative approach to event planning and implementation of a program of activities.
