Role Overview:
The Careers Education Lead will be a dynamic advocate for careers guidance, responsible for creating and implementing an annual programme of events and activities tailored to meet the needs of our students. You will lead and support a team of careers advisors and be someone who enjoys fostering collaboration with staff, students, and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
• Champion and lead careers advice and guidance at Exeter College.
• Develop and execute an inclusive annual careers programme.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality assurance processes.
• Utilise the Gatsby Benchmarks and other intelligence to shape the college careers programme.
• Lead and coordinate a team of careers advisers.
• Collaborate with internal colleagues and external stakeholders, including employers and industry partners.
• Oversee the college's support for learners' applications to Higher Education through the UCAS process.
Experience and Skills Required:
• Proven experience in supporting careers advice and guidance.
• Strong leadership and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication, collaborative, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage and create digital content.
• Creative approach to event planning and implementation of a programme of activities.
