About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team at Acorn Homes Group. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining the smooth running of our children's home, promoting a harmonious culture and ensuring the delivery of high standards of care and support to our young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Home Manager in maintaining the home's daily operations
  • Supervise and direct the staff team to deliver high-quality care and support
  • Ensure the home meets regulatory and legislative requirements
  • Manage and lead the staff team to achieve excellent outcomes for our young people
  • Offer support and guidance during on-call duties
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and children
  • Motivate and guide children in their self-development
  • Manage children who display disruptive or challenging behaviour
  • Manage staff performance and training
  • Maintain confidentiality and observe data protection guidelines

Requirements:

  • Two years' experience working in a children's home
  • Knowledge and experience gained in a supervisory role of a children's home
  • Hold a Diploma Level 3 in Health and Social Care with Children and Young People
  • Be prepared to work early, late, and night shifts (including sleepovers) on a rota basis
  • Be over the age of 21
