Job Title: Teaching Assistant - SEMH Needs

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at Aurora Severnside, a bespoke school for 11-16 year olds with SEMH needs. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our students to achieve their full potential in a caring and safe environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish a positive and supportive relationship with students to promote their emotional and social well-being.
  • Support the teaching team in delivering high-quality educational activities and experiences that cater to the diverse needs of our students.
  • Contribute to creating a safe and inclusive learning environment that fosters independence, personal development, and academic achievement.
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to develop and implement individualized learning plans that address the unique needs of each student.
  • Provide administrative support to the teaching team, including maintaining accurate records and completing necessary documentation.
Requirements:
  • GCSE (or equivalent) pass in Maths and English is essential.
  • Understanding of safeguarding principles and child protection procedures is required.
  • Commitment to the role and a desire to put the child first are essential.
  • Positive and creative approach to meeting students' needs is necessary.
