Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Workshop Maintenance Controller to join our team at Prospero Integrated. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and developing our warehouse and workshop scenic team, managing day-to-day tasks, and ensuring the highest possible standards and deadlines are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop the warehouse and workshop scenic team, including line management and training.
  • Manage the day-to-day tasking of the workshop and scenic warehouse team, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Oversee the construction and preparation process of equipment, maintaining high standards and meeting deadlines.
  • Implement and maintain high standards of health and safety in the workshop and scenic warehouse.
  • Manage stock and consumables, maintaining an organized and efficient inventory system.
  • Perform routine maintenance on workshop equipment and tools, ensuring optimal performance and extending lifespan.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Scenic to ensure effective communication and planning, maximizing departmental resource utilization.
  • Provide input on construction design and material specification for custom scenic elements, ensuring quality and feasibility.
  • Participate in hands-on construction of scenic products, staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
Requirements
  • At least 5 years' experience in the professional live events industry, with a specialization in scenic construction.
  • Self-motivation, with the ability to lead by example and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and CAD plans.
  • Good working knowledge of workshop tools and machinery, with excellent carpentry skills and experience with various materials.
  • Experience with CNC machines is an advantage, but not essential.
