Project Manager for Integrated Community Equipment Commissioning

Job Summary

This role will be focused on carrying out a comprehensive review and completing an options appraisal for exploring alternative commissioning arrangements for the Integrated Community Equipment service in South East London.

The post holder will work collaboratively across four boroughs; Southwark, Lambeth, Greenwich, and Bromley to gather insights, information, and to explore options for future models of delivering Community Equipment Services.

This is an exciting opportunity for the post holder to work collaboratively across dynamic teams and senior leadership to help shape the future of community equipment services in South East London.

Main Duties of the Job

The post holder will be responsible for and supported to deliver the following outputs:

  • Project documentation (project plan, risk log, stakeholder map, engagement guide)
  • Vision for new service
  • Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats (SWOT) analysis on existing provision and lessons learnt
  • Delivery options appraisal
  • Service specification
  • Implementation and transition plan
  • Legal advice (post holder to coordinate)
  • Procurement advice (post holder to coordinate)

About Us

This role is part of the Integrated Commissioning Team, based in Southwark. The role will be hosted by Southwark Council or SEL ICB (Southwark Place), on behalf of Southwark, Lambeth, Greenwich, and Bromley.

The post holder will use a deep understanding of Integrated Community Equipment Services and the essential role the service plays in keeping residents well and living independently in their own home for as long as possible to shape the project plan and inform the key outputs listed in the job description.

  • Strong successful project management experience including working at pace to deliver key project objectives

Strong Communication Skills

Essential

  • Able to prepare clear concise written and verbal reports to a range of audiences including elected members, Chief Officers, service users, partner organisations, and central government representatives
  • Able to work collaboratively and collectively with officers across the Council, with health partners, provider organisations, service users, and across the four boroughs to achieve strategic commissioning priorities

Market and Service Experience

Essential

  • Experience of developing an understanding of the Integrated Community Equipment sector, local needs, and other factors, in order to develop commissioning options for each borough to consider separately and together
  • Knowledge of South East London Community Equipment Services and the local commissioning and service delivery landscape
