Location: Newcastle Upon Tyne.

Rate of Pay: £14.00 per hour.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Personal Assistant to support a lovely 16-year-old young woman with severe learning difficulties and Autism. The ideal candidate will be able to provide hands-on support and accompany Hannah on new experiences, including accessing public transport and local amenities. A car driver would be preferred, but not essential.

Hannah is a happy and bubbly individual who enjoys music, dancing, and singing. She has an extensive collection of 'Hello Kitty' toys and is skilled on her gadgets. However, she may display challenging behaviours if feeling insecure or in unfamiliar situations, so the successful candidate must be able to provide supervisory support at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Hannah with daily tasks and activities.
  • Accompany Hannah on outings and trips.
  • Provide emotional support and encouragement to help Hannah develop confidence and independence.
  • Work collaboratively with Hannah's family to ensure a smooth and successful working relationship.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with individuals with learning difficulties and Autism.
  • Ability to provide hands-on support and supervision.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to work around Hannah's routines.
