About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Care Worker to join our team at Southern Housing Careers. As a Care Worker, you will play a vital role in providing personalized care and support to our residents and service users, working in line with established care and support plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care and support to residents and service users, promoting their independence and well-being.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver a comprehensive care and support service, ensuring seamless transitions and continuity of care.
- Conduct regular assessments and reviews to identify individual needs and develop personalized care plans.
- Administer medication and provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, and toileting.
- Support residents and service users with daily living tasks, such as meal preparation and household chores.
- Maintain accurate records and reports, adhering to data protection and confidentiality policies.
Requirements
- Experience working in a care and support setting, preferably in a residential or community-based environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with residents, service users, and colleagues.
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of the service.
- Physical ability to undertake moving and handling tasks, with a willingness to learn and develop skills.
- Valid enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check.
