Automation Specialist

Holland & Barrett is seeking a skilled Tooling & Automation Engineer to join our innovative team on a 6 Month FTC. This role is pivotal in developing and maintaining automation workflows, integrating systems, and creating user stories to meet the unique needs of various business units.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with Holland & Barrett business units to gather requirements and create detailed user stories.
- Design, develop, and implement automation solutions to streamline workflows and enhance team efficiency.
- Integrate Jira with other tools and systems to facilitate seamless data flow and task management.
- Utilize Zapier or Tines to build and maintain complex automation workflows.
- Continuously evaluate and improve existing automation processes.
- Document all automation workflows, integrations, and system configurations.
- Provide support for tooling and automation already in production.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate team members on new tools and automation processes.
- Champion the use of our tooling and automation across the wider business.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in tooling and automation.
- Excellent technical knowledge.
- Experience in creating new processes and procedures for IT service.
- Ability to effectively communicate at all management levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Team-oriented with a strong customer service focus.
- Proactive and able to work on own initiative.
- Ability to present ideas/solutions in user-friendly language.
- Understanding of Holland & Barrett's goals and objectives.
- Reliable and flexible.
- Full driving license (to attend head office when required).
- Previous experience in a tooling and automation engineering role or similar.
- Proven experience with Jira, including advanced configurations and integrations.
- Strong hands-on experience with Zapier, Tines, or similar automation platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to create detailed user stories and delivery plans.
- Understanding of dashboard creation and data structuring in Metabase, PowerBI, Google Data Studio, or other BI software.
