Job Description

Associate Mechanical Engineer, Leeds

We are seeking a highly skilled Associate Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Leeds. As a key member of our building services team, you will be responsible for delivering engineering design solutions, managing projects, and leading a team of engineers and technicians.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, with a high level of knowledge in electrical engineering, public health, and sustainability. You will be required to work on a wide range of projects across various sectors, including defence, commercial, industrial, retail, healthcare, education, and leisure.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Technical and commercial management of projects
  • Project winning, bids, and interviews
  • Contributing to and leading project bids and tender submissions
  • Developing and driving the sustainability agenda and low carbon design

You will be working closely with our clients to deliver zero and low carbon solutions and meet the Government's 2050 net zero target. You will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects and contribute to the development of our company's sustainability agenda.

Requirements:

  • Educated to at least degree level in mechanical engineering, building services engineering, or other relevant field
  • Chartered Engineer and member of relevant body
  • Strong project management skills in delivering building services projects from concept through to handover
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills
  • Ambition and drive to lead and develop a team of engineers and technicians
  • High level of knowledge and experience of mechanical engineering and low carbon design
  • Knowledge and experience of using IES software, Revit, and Navisworks software
