- Lead a multi-disciplinary team dedicated to delivering high-quality care, and provide guidance and support to staff to ensure they have the skills and resources needed to succeed.
- Develop and maintain links with educational and academic providers to ensure our nursing staff have access to the latest research and best practices.
- Drive improvement in service quality and patient experience for older adults, both in hospital and in care homes.
- Take a direct role in service development, research, and evaluation, ensuring that our services are safe, effective, caring, well-led, and responsive to the needs of our patients.
- Advanced Clinical Practitioner level or expert level practice of care of older adults.
- Management qualification or significant senior management experience in a healthcare setting.
- Masters degree in a relevant field.
- Evidence of significant professional and managerial development, including a comprehensive and relevant CPD portfolio.
- Counselling qualification.
- Experience of clinical practice development and applying continuous quality improvement methodology to develop services.
- Experience in supporting and managing complex psychosocial situations.
- Knowledge of current developments in nursing and political awareness of NHS.
- Educational experience and an ability to design and deliver educational programs to meet the needs of health professionals.
- Experience of developing policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of standard setting, ability to work with academics to develop research and audit driven by clinical priorities.
