Learning and Development Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Science Teacher to join our team at a high school in Nelson, Lancashire.
This is a full-time role starting immediately for the remainder of the academic year.
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Science up to Key Stage 3 and 4 students, with a focus on delivering engaging and interactive lessons that inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons to Key Stage 3 and 4 students, following the school's curriculum and assessment guidelines.
- Create a positive and supportive learning environment that fosters students' academic, social, and emotional development.
- Develop and implement strategies to support students with different learning styles and abilities, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
- Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback and support as necessary to help students achieve their full potential.
- Participate in extra-curricular activities, such as after-school clubs and school events, as required.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Excellent subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging and interactive lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
- A commitment to continuous professional development and keeping up-to-date with the latest teaching techniques and developments.
