About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to join our team in providing specialist psychological services to women and birthing people with severe and complex mental health needs during the perinatal period.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and supervision to less experienced staff, trainees, and volunteers.
  • Work with the Professional Lead and Service Manager to ensure the provision of a high-quality psychological service.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and evaluation of strategies and clinical policies in multidisciplinary, multi-agency contexts.
Requirements
  • Advanced psychological assessment and formulation skills, including risk assessment.
  • Ability to communicate complex information effectively to patients, families, carers, and professional colleagues.
  • Strong leadership qualities, resilience, and ability to handle ambiguity and uncertainty.
  • Proven organisational, planning, and time management skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Further training in at least one other psychological therapy.
  • Further training or experience in Perinatal Mental Health.
