About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Pharmacy Administrative Officer to join our Homecare team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing administrative support for the processing of prescriptions and invoices, ensuring timely provision of medicines for patients with chronic long-term conditions.

Main Responsibilities

  • Organize and forward prescriptions to the correct homecare providers
  • Liaise with specialist clinical teams and patients to ensure effective and safe delivery of medicines
  • Participate in order processing, matching invoices and credit notes, and ensuring prices charged are correct
  • Receive goods electronically and investigate discrepancies/non-compliance with homecare deliveries
  • Maintain up-to-date records of invoices passed and forward them to the pharmacy finance team for payment

Requirements

  • Maths and English GCSE or equivalent (A-D grades)
  • European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) or equivalent demonstrable experience
  • Microsoft Office experience, including Intermediate Excel and Word
  • Experience of ordering, invoice reconciliation, spreadsheets, databases, and reporting
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
