Job Summary:

This exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Dermatology Nurse to join our team in Bristol. As a key member of our community dermatology team, you will play a vital role in delivering specialist nursing care to patients with diagnosed skin conditions.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To work independently and collaboratively with the BNSSG Dermatology Team across the organization and in partnership with secondary care.
  • To provide holistic assessment and follow guidelines and protocols to deliver specialist dermatology nursing care in various settings.
  • To contribute to setting standards of care and auditing clinical outcomes and service provision across the organization.
  • To prescribe for patients using independent or supplementary nurse prescribing, where appropriate, and request changes in medication directly from the patient's GP or Consultant.

Requirements:

  • Able to build and foster effective working relationships at all levels across primary and secondary care.
  • Able to work without supervision at times to achieve the objectives of the post and prioritize workload.
  • Able to make valid clinical decisions, working within agreed guidelines and protocols for practice.
  • Has evidence of ability to develop and maintain relationships with team members, the wider primary healthcare team, and external agencies and organizations.
