About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Lecturer (Foundation) to join our team at Bournemouth & Poole College. As a key member of our academic staff, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality education to our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver engaging and effective teaching, learning, and assessment strategies for Foundation students.
  • Provide strong pastoral support to students, including acting as a personal tutor.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of educational programs, including identifying learning objectives and designing study materials.
  • Ensure teaching is based on current best practice and is consistent with a high standard of practice.
  • Manage student issues within agreed protocols and participate in the College's appraisal process.
Requirements
  • Level 2 qualification as a minimum.
  • English and Maths (or equivalent).
  • Qualified Teacher.
  • Proven track record of success in supporting young people.
  • Experience of working with young people with social, emotional, and mental health differences.
  • Work experience in an FE setting (college or school).
  • Competent in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Supportive and positive approach to students.
