We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated English Lecturer to join our team at Bournemouth & Poole College. As a key member of our cross-college English and Maths team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality learning experiences to our 16-18 students, including GCSE English and Functional Skills English and Maths.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the development and delivery of engaging and effective teaching and learning methods.
- Ensure that teaching is based on current best practice and is consistent with a high standard of academic excellence.
- Provide academic support to students in accordance with agreed procedures.
- Create an outstanding student experience that leads to successful completion of GCSE and Functional Skills qualifications.
- Prepare lesson plans, learning materials, and student assignments.
- Mark students' work and internal examinations and assessments, and invigilate as required.
- Manage student issues within agreed protocols.
- Relevant Level 3 English qualification.
- Teaching Qualification or willingness to achieve within 2 years.
- Experience of facilitating GCSE English learning for students in a Further Education or equivalent setting.
- Knowledge of the content of GCSE English Language.
- Excellent communication skills, including written and verbal.
