Job Title: Lead Speech and Language Therapist

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Speech and Language Therapist to join our Inclusion Service in Derby. As a Lead Speech and Language Therapist, you will play a key role in shaping the development of our academies and ensuring that our children receive the best possible support.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong background in Speech and Language Therapy and a commitment to supporting children with Special Educational Needs. You will be responsible for leading a team of Speech and Language Therapists and working closely with our Head of Inclusion and Trust Leader Complex SEND to implement our hub vision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of Speech and Language Therapists to provide high-quality support to children with Special Educational Needs
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to improve communication skills in children
  • Work closely with our Head of Inclusion and Trust Leader Complex SEND to implement our hub vision
  • Provide training and support to staff to ensure they have the skills and confidence to support children with Special Educational Needs
  • Collaborate with external agencies to ensure that our children receive the best possible support

Requirements
  • High expectations of achievement, attainment, and behavior
  • Excellent Speech and Language Therapist with potential to develop further in the Trust
  • Lead by example, inspiring and motivating children and colleagues
  • Commitment to supporting and developing the learning of pupils with SEND
  • Support the Head of Inclusion and Trust Leader Complex SEND in implementing the hub vision
  • Commitment to working in partnership with all stakeholders, including parents and external agencies
