At Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mental Health Consultant to join our inpatient multidisciplinary team on Ruby ward, a 17-bedded female acute ward in Aylesbury. The role offers an exciting opportunity for a consultant psychiatrist to provide leadership and clinical expertise to our teams.

The successful candidate will have the ability to adapt to changing circumstances of modern mental healthcare provision and demonstrate an interest in working with people with severe mental illness and complex emotional needs. They will work collaboratively with our team managers, contributing to the leadership and clinical expertise of our highly skilled and committed multidisciplinary teams.

This position provides extensive opportunities for teaching and training of medical students, postgraduate doctors, members of the multidisciplinary team, and other service providers, as well as for appraising and mentoring consultant colleagues.

We welcome applications from fully registered consultants with the General Medical Council (GMC) and on the Specialist Register or within six months of attaining their Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT).
