We are seeking an ambitious and enthusiastic planner to join our busy team and contribute to delivering our ambitions to create an excellent Planning Service.

As a Senior Planning Officer, you will have the opportunity to lead on a range of applications, including pre-applications and planning applications, and provide advice and guidance to Councillors.

You will also have a small number of planning officers to guide and mentor, and be committed to delivering high-quality developments while ensuring performance and excellent customer service is maintained.

In return, we can offer an environment that is supportive and friendly, where innovation is supported and performance is key.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead on a range of applications, including pre-applications and planning applications
  • Provide advice and guidance to Councillors
  • Guide and mentor a small number of planning officers
  • Deliver high-quality developments while ensuring performance and excellent customer service

Requirements:

  • Qualified to degree level (or equivalent) within a Planning or related discipline
  • Member of the RTPI
  • Previous experience in Development Management
