Job Title: Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervisor to join our Transportation team in Yeovil. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of reactive works elements of highways maintenance activities on the Somerset Highways Term Service Contract.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Reactive Works Manager in programming, managing, and delivering routine and severe weather services, ensuring compliance with program and maintenance requirement plans.
  • Supervise daily allocation and management of works and resources, ensuring timely development and delivery of reactive maintenance, emergency response, and adverse weather services.
  • Actively promote health and safety in the workplace, setting a good example to other employees and ensuring awareness of and compliance with general health and safety responsibilities.
  • Liaise with clients, members of the public, and other key stakeholders, including emergency services, to ensure effective communication and coordination.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience working within the highways industry, including knowledge of network operations and scheme delivery.
  • Hold an SSSTS or higher qualification and a full driving license.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively.
