Job Description

**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly skilled Traffic and Transportation Engineer to join our team at Fairhurst in Glasgow. As a key member of our Traffic and Transportation team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality transportation planning and engineering services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare comprehensive Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, Travel Plans, and Transport Appraisals reports.
  • Conduct traffic modeling using Junctions 9 (ARCADY / PICADY), LinSig, and Paramics software.
  • Design and prepare traffic signal designs using AutoCAD.
  • Develop compliant solutions to improve road and junction performance.
  • Participate in project team meetings and conduct site visits with senior staff.
  • Work on projects within agreed budgetary limits and timescales.

Requirements:

  • Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a relevant discipline with 3+ years of post-qualification experience in a Transport Planning and Engineering environment.
  • A Master's degree in Transport Planning is an advantage.
  • Understanding of the development planning process in Scotland.
  • Experience in preparing Transport Assessments, Statements, Travel Plans, and Transport Appraisals.
  • Excellent report writing skills in English.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Publisher.
  • Experience using AutoCAD.
  • Experience using TRICS, Junctions 9, and LinSig software.
  • Flexible and enthusiastic approach to working within a team structure.
  • Valid driving license.
