Job Title: Traffic and Transportation Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Traffic and Transportation Engineer to join our team in Glasgow. As a key member of our Traffic and Transportation team, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality transportation projects to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, Travel Plans, and Transport Appraisals reports.
  • Conduct traffic modeling using Junctions 9 (ARCADY / PICADY), LinSig, and Paramics software.
  • Design and prepare traffic signal designs using AutoCAD.
  • Develop compliant solutions to improve road and junction performance.
  • Attend project team meetings and conduct site visits with senior staff.
  • Work on projects within agreed budgetary limits and timescales.
Requirements:
  • Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or relevant discipline with 3+ years post-qualification experience in Transport Planning and Engineering.
  • Masters degree in Transport Planning an advantage.
  • Understanding of the development planning process in Scotland.
  • Experience in preparing Transport Assessments, Statements, Travel Plans, and Transport Appraisals.
  • Good report writing skills in English.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and Publisher.
  • Experience using AutoCAD, TRICS, Junctions 9, and LinSig software.
  • Flexible and enthusiastic approach to working within a team structure.
  • Driving license.
