We are seeking a highly skilled Credit Controller to join our team at Reed, a leading accountancy firm. The successful candidate will have previous experience in a similar role and be able to hit the ground running.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a growing business that deals with multiple customers, requiring the ability to manage and collect debts from company debtors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and collect debts from company debtors.
  • Ensure timely payments are made.
  • Process incoming funds, reconcile invoices, and resolve account queries.
  • Monitor debtor balances to ensure a reduction in debtors.
  • Liaise with customers and internal departments to resolve payment issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of all chasing activity.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on credit control activities.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Credit Controller or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of credit control processes and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Desirable:

  • Experience with accounting software.
  • Relevant qualifications in finance or accounting.
