Head of Housing Operations

Niyaa People Ltd is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Head of Housing to lead our housing management services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial, staffing, and resource management aspects of our housing operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage a team of housing staff, focusing on occupancy, customer experience, property standards, and financial viability.
- Monitor rental income, housing benefit payments, and ensure compliance with internal procedures and service level agreements.
- Build and maintain relationships with supported housing providers, ensuring high-quality service delivery and addressing underperformance.
- Drive continuous improvement with a focus on customer experience, efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
- Report on policy, training, and procedural changes due to regulatory updates.
- Develop and maintain policies and practices to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Engage with stakeholders including portfolio landlords, local authorities, and charity partners.
- Contribute to strategic planning and risk management, including preparing and presenting reports to the Board.
- Conduct agent meetings to ensure they remain on track and provide guidance.
- Update policies and procedures as needed.
- Maintain quality checks, handle provider queries, and maximise income from properties.
- Oversee health and safety checks and manage issues related to council tax and housing benefit.
- Ensure leases and SLAs are managed effectively.
