Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate educator to join our team as an Outreach Tutor. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on building trusting relationships and adapting teaching methods to meet each student's individual needs.
- Deliver personalized tutoring sessions aligned with each student's learning goals, supporting core subjects like English, math, and science.
- Adapt and differentiate lesson plans to engage students with special educational needs or emotional/behavioural challenges.
- Use creative and flexible approaches to overcome barriers to learning, drawing on trauma-informed and therapeutic techniques.
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, school staff, and other professionals to support each student's progress and create a holistic learning environment.
- Maintain accurate records of each session, tracking attendance, progress, and any behavioural or academic challenges or achievements.
Required Skills and Qualifications
We are looking for someone with previous experience working with students with special educational needs or those who experience dysregulation. A teaching qualification or degree in education, psychology, or a related field is preferred.
