TPF Recruitment, a leading accountancy practice recruitment agency, is partnering with a highly successful firm of chartered accountants in Gillingham to find a skilled Bookkeeper to join their team. This key role involves providing bookkeeping services, supporting with management accounts, VAT returns, and other services to a diverse client base across Kent and the SouthEast.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver bookkeeping services through to trial balance stage
  • Assist clients in preparing for Making Tax Digital (MTD)
  • Support with management accounts and financial reporting
  • Set up clients on cloud software (Xero) and provide guidance on its use
  • Complete CIS returns and VAT preparation
  • Opportunity to contribute to ad-hoc payroll work, although not essential
Requirements
  • AAT qualification or studying towards ACCA
  • 2-5 years of experience in accountancy practice bookkeeping or self-employment, seeking a permanent position
