Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our team. As a key member of the school community, you will provide vital support to students with additional needs, promoting their learning and development in a school setting.

About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing general classroom support, delivering high-quality interventions, and nurturing each pupil's needs. You will need to be able to deal well in high-pressure situations, remain calm and professional, and de-escalate challenging behavior.
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to provide learning activities, assist with EHCPs, and support students on days out and trips. You may also be required to provide personal care where needed.
About the School:
Our client is a reputable education supply agency that works with various provisions across Northamptonshire, including primary, secondary, SEN, and SEMH schools. The class sizes are typically small, with 6-10 pupils per class, allowing for personalized attention and support.
Students have an EHCP and require additional support in their learning and overall development. Our client prioritizes communication and positive relationships, promoting close working relationships with families and celebrating pupils' efforts and achievements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting students in their learning activities and personal development
- Promoting social and emotional well-being
- Maintaining a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment
- Working closely with teachers to provide learning activities
- Assisting with EHCP implementation
- Providing personal care when needed
Salary:
The estimated salary for this role is £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. This includes statutory holiday pay.
