Cardiac Physiologist Advanced Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cardiac Physiologist Advanced Specialist to join our team at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our cardiac diagnostic services team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality echocardiography services and contributing to the development of new roles for service provision.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in clinical physiology and healthcare science, with advanced specialist knowledge of cardiac imaging. You will be competent to practise a wide range of cardiac physiology diagnostics and interventions, and will have experience in teaching and training other healthcare professionals.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality echocardiography services, including independent practice at an advanced specialist level.
  • Contribute to the development of new roles for service provision, including practical and theoretical training of multidisciplinary healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in cardiac and associated medical research, and contribute to the development of new research programs.
  • Provide effective day-to-day leadership of the cardiac physiology team, and participate in the development of new roles and services.
