Job Overview:
Entrust Social Care Ltd's Children's Fostering Team in the West Midlands seeks an experienced Child Welfare Specialist to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience as a UK Social Worker in a Children's Social Work team. The successful candidate will work closely with the team to ensure the safety of children under the supervision of a supportive Team Manager.

Job Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Developing assessment tools to evaluate children's needs.
  • Establishing working relationships with permanent families.
  • Leading on matching reports and support plans, presenting to panel for approval, and coordinating child preparation.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of child development, early childhood abuse and neglect, and signs of developmental trauma.
  • Providing expert advice on children's care plans, parenting capacities, and support.
  • Managing caseloads, responding to court directions, and producing high-quality reports in a timely manner.
  • Guiding the team on permanency processes and overcoming barriers to progress.
  • Working 37 hours per week (flexible by negotiation).


Salary and Benefits:
The salary for this role is competitive (£38,000-£42,000) with a weekly payroll and free access to a comprehensive online training portal worth £500 a year.
